You Don't Have to Wait Until Everything Feels Overwhelming.

Counseling isn't only about responding to a crisis. It can also be a proactive decision to understand yourself more fully, strengthen your relationships, and make intentional choices about your emotional well-being.

My Therapeutic Approach

Therapy Should Help You Understand Yourself and Move Forward.

I believe effective counseling begins with understanding the person behind the circumstances. Your experiences, relationships, responsibilities, and personal history all contribute to how you navigate life.

My role is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where we can explore those experiences, identify patterns, and develop practical ways to approach the challenges you're facing.

01

Understanding Before Change

Before we focus on what needs to change, we take time to understand what has shaped your experiences, responses, and expectations. This creates a stronger foundation for meaningful progress.

02

Practical Strategies

Insight matters, but so does knowing what to do with it. Together, we identify strategies that can support healthier thinking, emotional regulation, communication, and everyday decision-making.

03

Progress That Fits Your Life

Counseling isn't about following someone else's definition of success or personal growth. We work toward goals that reflect your needs, values, relationships, and the life you want to create.

Clinical Foundation

Evidence-Informed. Person-Centered. Collaborative.

My primary therapeutic foundation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which examines the connections among thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT can help clients recognize unhelpful patterns and develop more effective responses.

I also draw from other established counseling approaches when appropriate, recognizing that each person brings different experiences, perspectives, and needs into the counseling process.

Beginning Counseling

Getting Started Doesn't Have to Be Complicated.

Deciding to begin counseling is a personal choice. You may have a specific concern you want to address, or you may simply recognize that something in your life needs more attention. Either way, the first step is starting a conversation.

01

Reach Out

Begin by submitting an inquiry through the Contact page. You don't need to explain everything you're experiencing. A brief message indicating your interest in individual or couples counseling is enough to begin.

02

Discuss the Details

We'll review the next steps, including whether services are appropriate for your needs, current availability, and relevant scheduling and practice information. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions before moving forward.

03

Begin the Work

If we determine that counseling is an appropriate fit and schedule an appointment, our initial sessions will focus on understanding your concerns, discussing your goals, and establishing a collaborative direction for our work together.

The Counseling Experience

A Thoughtful and Collaborative Process.

Counseling is not about being told how to live your life. It's an opportunity to examine what you're experiencing, understand the factors contributing to your concerns, and identify meaningful ways to move forward.

Our work will be guided by your individual needs and goals. Some sessions may focus on gaining insight, while others may emphasize practical strategies, communication, or navigating specific situations.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your health care services are expected to cost.

Under federal law, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance to pay for their care, an estimate of expected charges when qualifying services are scheduled or when an estimate is requested.

You may request a written Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an appointment. Your estimate will describe the expected charges for your planned counseling services.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate from a provider, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records. For additional information about your rights, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

A Personal Invitation

You've Made Room for So Many Responsibilities. Make Room for Yourself, Too.

Throughout my career, I've worked with people who have spent years showing up for their families, careers, and communities. Many have become so accustomed to being dependable that they've forgotten what it feels like to make their own emotional well-being a priority.

Whether you're navigating personal challenges, looking for greater balance, or working to strengthen your relationship, counseling can provide an opportunity to give those concerns the attention they deserve.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes recognizing that you'd like something to change is enough to begin.
