I opened up my practice over 20 years ago with the goal of reaching people who would never dream of going to counseling. Now that the field has expanded, finding a counselor is not nearly as hard as it was when the field had very few African-American counselors. This “black girl” blazed the path to get on the insurance panels, resource directories, and platforms to set up a practice that would help people understand the importance of mental health.
I can say that mental health advocacy has been a blessing in my life. And the gift of helping others overcome experiences which limit their peace is still a passion which I am able to provide in my office near downtown Dallas or via virtual sessions.

I primarily use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a recognition that our perspectives have a strong impact on how we respond to our experiences. By working on our cognitive processes, we create a framework for healing.
All fees are due at the beginning of each session
Concierge packages include a set amount of sessions with access to phone consults under 20 minutes. Ideal for those who have incorporate counseling services into their overall health regimen. The payments are due on the 1st of each month.
While I stopped taking insurance some years ago, I do have packages available which are comparable to the cost of other areas of self-care; doctor’s appointments, massages, hairstyling.
If your insurance company is showing me as a provider, their database is outdated. I am no longer accepting insurance for payment of services.
